
How Exercise Improves Health
The journey of my fitness started with getting diet advice. However, the real change only happened when I got more awareness about importance of exercises along with diet management. They are both important for our well-being.
Here is how regular exercises help us in maintaining good physical and mental health:
- Strengthens your heart and improves your blood circulation.
- Exercise gives positive mindset and improve your health.
- Increased blood flow raises the oxygen levels in your body.
- Regular exercise keeps risk of heart diseases low.
- Regular exercises help in maintaining your digestive system and body to absorb all nutrients that we get from food.
- Lowers your blood sugar level.
- It can help with weight loss and brings glow your skin.
- Exercise improve your immune system and also help in sleep quality because if your sleep is not sound then no exercise and diet helps you to maintain your health.
- Work out 4 to 5 days in a week, but don’t forget to rest and rejuvenate. Rest is essential for repair of tissues.
- Maintain your exercise pattern according to your age and physical capacity.
- Avoid over-exercising because it causes injuries and create stress in your body, so go slow and steady and do exercises that suits your body.
- Don’t confuse activity as exercise. Physical activity is just movement done for getting work done while exercise is planned and intentional movement that is aimed at wellness.
- Exercise is a powerful medicine for many common mental health challenges too.
There are various kind of exercises and practices that you can undertake. However you should do all the exercises with a mindful attitude towards enjoying the workout and listening to your body.
You should workout with the objective of complete physical and mental well being not just losing weight.
